25 Years of God’s Faithfulness

November 8th, 2019 was one of the most memorable days for Rhema for the Nations as we celebrated our 25th year anniversary (our Silver Jubilee) at our campus. The growth of this ministry has been a great sign of God’s faithfulness and His greatness, and He has been doing great things around the world through Rhema for the Nations. It was also a wonderful day of dedicating NINE new translations of the New Testament in various South Asian languages!

The gathering of people from the nine languages and from local churches made this Silver Jubilee celebration one to remember and a blessing to everyone involved.

Dedication of New Testaments in Nine South Asian Languages

New Testament translations have been released in the nine languages that we have been working on over the past few years. Those languages are Kaylar, Bazria (Bazigar & Bauria), Pattakani (Pattapu & Nethakani), Didhan (Pardhan & Pardhi), Bamucha (Palya & Chamari).

The Ceremony

We had special guests join us from all over the world. Jacob (Field Coordinator), Consultants George, Paul, Jim, Rachel, Jerin and our brother Joseph were among the honored guests. The nine languages were dedicated by these guests and the people from among these languages were present and blessed by finally having the New Testament in their heart language.

The main message was given by consultant George, who focused on how the Rhema for the Nations is progressing and how God has been faithful to us. Here are a few key words from George:

Hudson Taylor made a profound statement, “God’s ministry done in God’s way never lacks God’s supply”. Rhema for the Nations is very strongly adhering to this statement. Psalms 103:17 and Psalm 119:90 are verses that explicitly depict the faithfulness of God. God’s faithfulness is an ongoing expression of God’s love. As long as Rhema for the Nations remains faithful to God, His faithfulness is continually pouring out. Paul says “who can nullify us when God is faithful to us”. Nothing can nullify the faithfulness of God. It is God who initiated his faithfulness. The Apostle Paul said to his spiritual son Timothy, “He who calls you is always faithful”. That’s true with everyone: you, me, and everyone who is associated with Rhema for the Nations. God will remain continually faithful to ongoing ministries of Rhema. Nothing can ever shake this ministry because God is always there to strengthen it and he is there to protect us from every kind of evil thing.

George concluded with a reminder that the author of Hebrews 10:23 gives us: “Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.” God’s word is very specific that He would always remain faithful but it’s our responsibility to hold tightly to the confession of our hope. And when we do, our God who is faithful will remain faithful for ever and ever because that is His nature!

The celebrations of 25 years of God’s faithfulness was closed by a prayer by director Simpson.

Words From Our Guests

Jacob: Jacob recognized the great translation work of Rhema for the Nations and the effectiveness of the Bible. He encouraged us with the words that the Bible can change a person, community, and an entire nation, and that’s the very reason Rhema for the Nations is involved in Bible Translation work.

Consultant Paul: “I grew up with the love for God’s Word. As I grew older, I learned that most of the world didn’t have access to God’s Word. Nine more languages have God’s Word today. To God be the glory!”

Consultant Jim: “The gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ was first explained to me when I was 17 years old. It was in my own language, English. My prayer for you today is that God’s purpose would be accomplished among these people through these translations. These nine people groups now have something more valuable than gold and sweeter than honey. “

Consultant Rachel: “Congrats to Rhema for the Nations for this Jubilee celebrations. Rhema for the Nations has started Bible Translation in order to give the Word of God to people so that they would also join in the army of God. This word of God has directly come to you from heaven.

Consultant Jerin: “Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Word of God is a double edged sword. So Rhema for the Nations is going to give this double edged sword to nine languages today. This Word of God is not an ordinary word. Let’s thank God for giving Rhema and this double edged sword in nine languages!”

Brother Joseph: “‘In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.’ When we read the Bible in our own language, we are able to see God’s Words directly for us. The true light which gives light to everyone was coming in to the world. God’s word doesn’t just change our life a little bit, it completely changes us into a new person. Now peoples from nine different languages will be able to worship God, they would be able to read/listen to the same word that we read and will have an opportunity to meet the Lord Jesus Christ!”

Consultant George (Guest Speaker): We are celebrating God’s faithfulness for the last 25 years. It is such a significant day in the history of Rhema for the Nations and equally important in God’s sight also. God has been so faithful to Rhema for the Nations in various ways. It was a very humble, modest beginning in the late 90’s, and now it has grown up as a huge organization giving the written Word of God, in addition to health care, education care, and more. God’s faithfulness is exemplified in the growth of this ministry. All the guests are going to witness that RFN remains grateful to God.
